1st Day: AIRPORT TUNIS –TUNIS
WELCOME TO TUNISIA!
Arrival at the Tunis Carthage Airport, assistance and transfer to hotel of stay in TUNIS.

Check in and overnight at HOTEL
Overnight RAMADA PLAZA, or similar, 5 star, Tunis

2nd Day: TUNIS / EL DJEM / MATMATA / DOUZ:
Met with the guide and the driver at your hotel of stay in TUNIS
Depart directly to EL DJEM. Arrival at EL DJEM, to visit the magnificent amphitheatre considered as one of the three major Roman
coliseums in the world after Rome and Capoue, as its majestic proportions enabling it to host 27.000 spectators.

Then, leave through the marine oasis of GABES for MATMATA, Berber village which exceptional panorama and troglodyte homes
lie in a surrealist calm. After a Berber lunch at the hotel, visit a home carved in the mountain and have a photo stop.

Continue on to DOUZ, guardian of the Grand Erg and magnificent green oasis at the gate of the desert.
Camel ride trip in DOUZ during sunset time (optional).

3rd Day : DOUZ / CHOTT EL DJERID / TOZEUR: OASIS MOUNTAINS (chebika – tamerza and Ong Djemel) / TOZEUR:
After early breakfast, crossing of CHOTT EL DJERID towards TOZEUR, with a photos stop in this large salt lake endlessly extending
its legendary mirages, superb alchemy of Sahara elements.

Upon arrival at TOZEUR, visit of the immense palm grove covering 1000 hectares, and considered as one of the most beautiful in the world.
Here, 200.000 date palms produce yearly tones of delicious « Deglet Nour », the best Tunisian dates which transparency reflects
the light of the golden sun.

Lunch in PALM GROVE “ EDEN PALM” in TOZEUR

We will have the opportunity to go for a drive in 4x4 through the oasis. Visit CHEBIKA where canyons and TAMERZA where waterfalls,
and then ONG DJEME where star wars decorations.

Back to TOZEUR,

Overnight HOTEL PALM BEACH, 5 star, Tozeur

4th Day: TOZEUR - GAFSA – KAIROUAN:
Breakfast. Continue on to GAFSA, Stop for lunch in hotel /restaurant.

Proceed to KAIROUAN, holy city and first North African Islamic city. A short break will enable you to stroll about the colourful
Souks of the Medina, where you may at length test your bargaining talents,

Arrival to KAIROUAN. Visit the MEDINA. and RAQQADA Museum. Visit the « Barber's Mausoleum » or « Sidi Sahib », also named the
three doors Mosque, and built in XVIIth century in memory of Sidi Sahib, companion of the prophet Mohammed.

Visit « BIR BARROUTA », « Bir » meaning « well », and « Routa » being the name of Sidi Sahib's dog. Visit Aghlabite Pools, built in sixth century.
Visit the Medina souks and the bazaar of famous Kairouan carpets, jewel of Tunisian handicrafts.

Return to the hotel.

Overnight HOTEL LA KASBAH, CONTINENTAL 5 star, Kairouan

5th Day: KAIROUAN -BARDO- TUNIS MEDINA- CARTHAGE-SIDI BOU SAID – TUNIS:
Breakfast. Visit the Great Mosque, « JAMAA SIDI OQBA », the oldest Islamic religious site in the western Islamic world. (Closed Friday)

Depart to TUNIS. Arrival and lunch in restaurant in TUNIS in the Medina or in suburbs

Visit MOSQUE EZITOUNA (if open, you can enter on it) and visit the ancient MEDINA.

Depart to visit CARTHAGE. Visit the ruins of the Phoenician and Roman civilizations both lie open to the sun and wildflowers.
Declared a national monument the town of Carthage and nearby Salammbo abound in vestiges of the Punic and Roman empires,
baths, dwellings, mosaics, temples, shrines and the fabulous naval port of the Carthaginians.

Continue to the hill of Byrsa, where in the 8th century BC, Carthage was founded by the legendary Princess Elissa-Dido, is a storehouse
of history. Roman mosaics lie next to the ruins of Phoenician buildings dating from the 8th Century BC.

OR visit the BARDO museum, further time of arrival.

Depart to visit the village of SIDI BOU SAID where you discover the typical Tunisian life style. Have a free time to shopping and
to take a coffee break.

Opportunity to visit DAR ENNABI (paid in site) (*an ancient house of a Tunisian Bey showing various habits and wedding costumes, …)

After the tour, back to your hotel.

6th Day: TUNIS –TUNIS AIRPORT:
Breakfast

Transfer from the hotel to the Tunis Carthage airport for your flight
